{"id":335,"date":"2011-08-21T20:09:33","date_gmt":"2011-08-21T20:09:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/internationalschoolcommunity.com\/blog\/?p=335"},"modified":"2012-10-22T20:12:38","modified_gmt":"2012-10-22T20:12:38","slug":"blogs-of-international-school-teachers-love-international-living","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/internationalschoolcommunity.com\/blog\/blogs-of-international-school-teachers-love-international-living\/","title":{"rendered":"Blogs of international school teachers: \u201cLove International Living\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Are you inspired to start up a blog about your adventures living abroad?<\/p>\n<p>Check out the experiences of another teacher from the moment they signed the contract to what they are writing about after a few years working abroad.<\/p>\n<p>Our 5th blog that we would like to highlight is called \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/loveinternationalliving.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Love International Living.<\/a>\u201c\u00a0\u00a0 Similar to our last highlighted blog, it has some great insight into how important the first few weeks are for new teachers during their orientation days to their new city and new school.\u00a0 There is also much information to be learned what life is really like working at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.internationalschoolcommunity.com\/school_main.php?id=853\">Chadwick International School \u2013 Songdo<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/loveinternationalliving.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"border: 3px solid black;\" title=\"Screen shot 2011-08-21 at 12.55.54 PM\" src=\"http:\/\/internationalschoolcommunity.files.wordpress.com\/2011\/08\/screen-shot-2011-08-21-at-12-55-54-pm.png?w=600&#038;h=125&#038;fit=600%2C125&#038;resize=360%2C75\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"75\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Entries we would like to highlight:<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Settling\u00a0In\u2026\" href=\"http:\/\/loveinternationalliving.wordpress.com\/2011\/08\/20\/settling-in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Settling\u00a0In\u2026:<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/a>\u201cOn the 29th we begin we our Korean language classes.\u00a0 So far I can only say \u201chello\u201d and \u201cthank you\u201d so I\u2019m really looking forward to getting more communication help.\u00a0 We\u2019re told the Korean character system is super logical and easy to understand, so we\u2019ll hopefully be able to read Korean soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><a title=\"New Songdo\u00a0Exists!\" href=\"http:\/\/loveinternationalliving.wordpress.com\/2011\/08\/03\/new-songdo-exists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New Songdo\u00a0Exists!:<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n\u201cChadwick (International School) has been incredible.\u00a0 Our president and our headmaster along with many other staffers picked us up from the airport, handed us a wad of money and took us home, to a high-rise called Well County.\u00a0 There are three phases of the development so far and we live in the newest\u2013the 300s.\u00a0 Our internet phone and cable was already set up and the school is working out all kinds of incredible deals on internet and iphones and anything else we can imagine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Orientation\u00a0Excitement\" href=\"http:\/\/loveinternationalliving.wordpress.com\/2011\/07\/17\/orientation-excitement\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Orientation\u00a0Excitement:<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/a>\u201cUsually, when you move to a new school, you have two weeks before school begins.\u00a0 Often the first week is local culture and city orientation while the second week is work at school.\u00a0 That\u2019s great for a couple days, but by day three, you want to check out the school and get into your room and start setting up.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Are you inspired to start up a blog about your adventures living abroad?
