On International School Community we strive to have the largest network of\u00a0international\u00a0school\u00a0educators; which also includes\u00a0those people interested in working at international schools for the first time. \u00a0Each month we are getting hundreds of new members signing-up to become a part of our community. \u00a0Currently, we have 2724 members in total on our Members List page<\/a>. \u00a0We are definitely the place to go to network with other\u00a0international\u00a0school educators!<\/p>\n

So, how has our member profile page been updated?<\/p>\n

We have changed the design of the whole page to make each profile easier to read. \u00a0We have also increased the size of the member’s profile photo.<\/p>\n

\"Screen<\/p>\n

We’ve added a new category so that you can now put where you come from on your profile. Knowing where others are from (especially those whom are from the same country as you) can be very beneficial\u00a0information\u00a0to know when checking out the hiring policies at an\u00a0international\u00a0school you are\u00a0interested\u00a0in applying to. \u00a0If you have any questions to ask them (if they know about an international school you are interested in working at), just click on the ‘Contact this member’ button to send them a private message. Additionally, we now have an email\u00a0notification\u00a0set up so that the member you sent a message to will automatically receive an email letting them know they have a new message.<\/p>\n

\"Screen<\/a><\/p>\n

We have added more new topics to the Personal Info section of the Member profile page as well. \u00a0Instead of just listing the number of years that members have taught at international schools, we have now added a ‘Total years teaching’ section so that you also have the opportunity to highlight your years teaching domestically in your home country.<\/p>\n

There are also now links to that member’s Blog and Twitter page. \u00a0If you have a blog or twitter page that you think would be of interest to the\u00a0international\u00a0school community, make sure to update your profile to include those today; great way to market yourself.<\/p>\n

Lastly, way at the bottom, there is now a ‘last-updated’ date. \u00a0When perusing through our member profile pages, you will now see when each profile has last been updated. \u00a0As you are perusing don’t forget to utilize our Member Profile search feature, if you have a more specific search criteria for the kind of members that you’d like to find. You can search by Region of the world, Country, City and Job Title. You can also do a key-word search by using the Other search box.<\/p>\n

Lately we have been getting 150-250 new members signing-up each month. \u00a0Check out our over 2700 members on our Members List page<\/a>. If you are already a member, sign-on today and make sure your profile page is up-to-date.<\/p>\n

Here are some things you might want to update: upload a new profile pic, upload a photo from a trip you just recently took, update the number of years you have been teaching, update your current location if you are moving to a new country this summer, update your current school if you are planning on working at a new international school next school year, etc.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
