The name of that beast, Eyjaf\u00adjal\u00adla\u00adjokull (sounds like \u201cAY-yah-fyah-lah-YOH-kuul\u201d \u00a0if you\u2019re brave) is much fun\u00adnier than the real\u00adity of it, I assure you. In our case, what should have been a short 2-hour flight from Helsinki to Brus\u00adsels turned out to be 4 days of pac\u00ading in a cold air\u00adport and then a 47-hour com\u00adbi\u00adna\u00adtion of fer\u00adries, buses, taxis, trams and trains.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"embed-youtube\" style=\"text-align:center; display: block;\"><iframe class=\"youtube-player\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/2N8NaUHR5XI?version=3&#038;rel=1&#038;showsearch=0&#038;showinfo=1&#038;iv_load_policy=1&#038;fs=1&#038;hl=en-US&#038;autohide=2&#038;wmode=transparent\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" style=\"border:0;\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts allow-same-origin allow-popups allow-presentation allow-popups-to-escape-sandbox\"><\/iframe><\/span><br \/>\nI men\u00adtion this only so you can under\u00adstand why it is I appre\u00adci\u00adate this clip so much: the feel\u00ading of traveling, with\u00adout hav\u00ading to actu\u00adally leave my din\u00ading room. Perfect.\u00a0 If you liked this, you might also enjoy <a href=\"http:\/\/www.timwoods.org\/2009\/11\/06\/singapore-and-back-in-5-minutes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sin\u00adga\u00adpore and Back in 5 Min\u00adutes<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This photo journey idea is a another great idea!\u00a0 We all can relate to the traveling experience of going back and forth, back and forth to our home country.\u00a0 The feeling going back and then the different feeling of returning to your host country.\u00a0 Sometimes the journey goes smoothly, sometimes not!\u00a0 A journey of 4 days sounds like a nightmare indeed!<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.timwoods.org\/2010\/01\/03\/the-career-you-want\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Guarantee the career you want<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Your job is not per\u00adfect. Me nei\u00adther. We have hid\u00adden gifts you and\u00a0I.\u00a0 First instinct, espe\u00adcially in the heady days of early Jan\u00adu\u00adary, is to re-evaluate and con\u00adsider mas\u00adsive life changes.<strong>\u00a0 Have we in fact missed our call\u00ading? In a word: yes<\/strong>. But it\u2019s an eas\u00adier fix than you might\u00a0think.<\/p>\n<p>Have you ever heard the expres\u00adsion: \u201cWhen you\u2019re doing what you really love, it doesn\u2019t feel like a job?\u201d Do you know why this is true? It\u2019s because when you\u2019re doing what you really love you prob\u00ada\u00adbly aren\u2019t at work.<strong> Day jobs are some\u00adtimes less-than-totally ful\u00adfill\u00ading.<\/strong> They don\u2019t nor\u00admally appre\u00adci\u00adate or hon\u00adour our full great\u00adness. They nor\u00admally can\u2019t. (<strong>Because that\u2019s not <\/strong><em><strong>their <\/strong><\/em><strong>job<\/strong>). They are not designed with us in mind, but rather with our clients in mind. But their imper\u00adfec\u00adtion\u00a0doesn\u2019t\u00a0mean they are wrong for us. We accept their imper\u00adfec\u00adtions as they accept ours. And that\u2019s not\u00a0bad.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Non-jobs<\/strong> are an anti\u00addote to less-than-completely-fulfilling careers. They <strong>offer a\u00a0ful\u00adfill\u00ading \u2018third place\u2019<\/strong>.
